The Best Dog Beaches and Dog Parks in the Sarasota Area
LAKE VIEW PAW PARK

7150 Lago St, Sarasota, FL 34241
The excruciatingly hot Florida days can be far from fun for you and your furry four-legged friend, but if an adventurous early or mid-afternoon is the plan, then Lake View Paw Park is the place to be. This park is notable because it is a shaded sanctuary that gives dogs a refreshing place to have fun. In the mulchy terrain, dogs have a wholly shaded space to roam off-leash. In addition, the park has tennis balls, adjustable doggy hurdles, and weave poles for doggies who are into agility equipment.
The park is fenced and separated into two areas, the smaller dog area (dogs under 20lbs) and the larger dog area (dogs over 20 lbs). There is a drinking station with a doggie hose. And for those interested in walking/jogging with their dog, visit Lake view park, which is connected to the paw park.
Lake View Park is a hilly grassland. Enjoy the bridges over little streams and ponds. If you like to walk with your puppies in strollers, this park does not have sidewalks, so terrain wheels would make the experience much more manageable.
Things to know before you go:
- Free parking
- No swimming in Lake
- Pets must be leashed outside of paw park
- Bathrooms are in Lake View park
- Closed on Tuesdays for maintenance
Be sure to familiarize yourself with the Lake View Park, paw park rules, and hours open before going.
